Welcome Packet / Membership Materials

Dear Board Of Directors, District Delegates, and Alternates: 

A Welcome Packet has been created for the purpose of informing new Sunset Lake owners of our association and Sunset Lake. When we are aware of a new owner in our district, we need to print the documents available below to generate a Welcome Packet. Please sign and print your name and contact information on the Welcome Letter.

This packet gives us the opportunity to welcome the new owner to Sunset Lake and the neighborhood and of course in return they get to meet the Delegate or Alternate for their district. It is important to make that introduction so they know who to contact in the event they have any questions about the lake or association. While meeting with them we should see if they would like to be added to our email list and of course promote joining the association.

In addition to the Welcome Letter, there is a Membership Form, list of events for the current year, information about the BOD, Delegates, and Alternates with contact information, and informational documents about Lakeside Living, Boating, and Invasive Species. Please print and compile a nice welcome packet to welcome new members of our community; at a minimum, I use the welcome letter, membership form, and list of events for the current year.

There are also 3 variations of the "welcome letter" for potential members (existing residents that have never joined the SLA), residents with lapsed memberships, and a renewal letter for residents who were members the past year.

Finally, there is a letter for Lifetime Members and Lifetime Member Annual Contribution form promoting annual contributions/membership upgrades for lifetime members.

Below are 3 variations of the "welcome letter" as follows:

• Renewal: a letter for residents who were SLA members in the previous year.
• Lapsed Member: a letter for residents who were SLA members in the past, but not in the previous year.
• Potential Member: a letter for existing residents who have never joined the SLA

These letters can be use in conjunction with any of the materials above (especially the membership form) to solicit membership renewals or new members.

Below are a letter and contribution form to solicit lifetime members to make an additional annual contribution/upgrade their membership for 2025.
